Arabic conversion with AIR January 13 2010 2 comments

I woke up this morning to find an email from an Imam in Sarajevo. He was requesting a version of the Arabic conversion widgets that could be run offline on a Windows machine. I’d meant to do this a while ago and never really got around to it. So, with fresh motivation I punched up a quick Adobe AIR version of the tool which I emailed back to him. However I figured since the work was done, I’d put it up here.

Click here to download the zipped .air file. It’s directly taken from the script used on the right of this site, just packaged for AIR.

One of the reasons I never got around to making the rest of the widgets in AIR is that I have little faith in either Dashboard or AIR as having any real long-term appeal to anyone. Add that to how esoteric these widgets are anyway, and well, you get the picture.
