Languagelog talks xiaoerjin June 20 2009 0 comments

There’s a post over at LanguageLog called Perso-Arabic and Sinitic Literacy that’s worth checking out. That, and the usual continuation through comments. It includes an account of imams from Shandong illiterate in written Chinese but fully able to work out the xiao’erjin of the same text.
