But listening to it again now, it's quite sweet really. I mean...the sung bits are nauseating, but the rap-lite sounds really quite good. Almost reminiscent of some late-eighties/early-ninties French rap stuff...er, maybe. As the page loaded, I was tickled to see 平平仄仄平平仄 on the screen, which, in case you've not had the pleasure of being lectured on Tang poetry, is a kind of intonation pattern. Quite what's it's doing in the song, other than sounding pleasant, I'm not sure. Perhaps, someone could enlighten us? But I reckon something which takes from pop, rap and classical poetry can't be all bad. Might be a while before we find a youtube clip of a foreigner singing it, don't you reckon?
